inspired haiku senryu “Nobodies child”

The art and joys of being able to put what we observe and experience into words and share with the world. What a gift it is. A boarding house experience beautifully surmised by Mick E Talbot. That a song and I inspired this poem is awesome!

“nobodies child”

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
how i longed for home
boarding school one whole term
broken heart lost love
eleven year old
deported against my will
my parents too
unbeknown new
a rule that hurt us all
weekend disasters
to far to travel
one day there one day back
no time for visits
homesick lonely nights
my parents too were crying
a whole term dying
summer break and home
empathy resolved my straits
home loving parents
while I was there
respite for me was nature
now still besotted
long story cut short
as back then was a life time
despair misery
now a happy home
a wife three children
grand and great too
like all we face
trials and tribulations
together resolved
My life back then invoked
by you and a old song
both invoking tears
Invoked memory by Aweni
The tale of his defeat
He hated them, He swore never to touch them, Never to live with them, Or have any business with them. Until..... He sniffed the sweet talc, And saw the light and fluffy dust On buttocks so soft and pink. The button nose On a face round and cherub. He heard the gentle coos From heart-shaped … Continue reading The tale of his defeat
Chronicles of a girl boarder
  "Squat!!!!" They squealed, all three of them red in the face with anger. "How could a junior be so confident?" They thought. "Another pair of wings to break!" One of them shouted. They had asked for her bowl of rice, But she would not let it go. She held onto it like her life … Continue reading Chronicles of a girl boarder
The man and Life
I once heard a conversation between a man and Life. The man thought his fate the worst of all. All he had to provide for his son and wife was a guitar. He sat with his guitar, while Life stood by silently, listening to him. "I have looked inwards", he said to Life. "All I … Continue reading The man and Life
If only you knew
You criticize Put me down Belittle me Aim to make me feel unwanted To feel foolish and incapable If only you knew That for every criticism, I learn And I perfect Every time I am put down, I rise to a greater height With every belittling I become larger than life Because the universe wants … Continue reading If only you knew
