When I wear my heart on my sleeve,
I am daring you to crush or keep,
A heart steeped in need & glee.
Knowing it matters not to it,
What your choice will be.
Either way its win & win
A crush will its glee kill.
A keep, its needs meet.
As far as you do see
What you do to it,
With yen & grace,
This heart’ll cede.
So please go on,
Do what you
Will.

Nicely penned. I like its visual impact too, how the lines of the poem become shorter as in the end the decision made does not depend on the voice of the poem’s narrator but on the you-person with the powerful word “will” that has strength of its own.

๐๐๐..thank you. Exactly, it’s out of the narrator’s hands. So glad you dropped by๐

You are quite skilled in poetry. I love the dare and the fact that final outcome will be a win-win. Beautifully rendered as usual.
