Hello!

hello-4063591_1280

It has been quite a while. Just under four months really, but it feels like years.

I have missed you all.

I have missed walking through fascinating minds here.

I have missed the joys of reading your pieces and learning from them.

I have missed your words of encouragement and advice.

I have missed the challenges too.

So, the reason I have been away is that my day job has been super busy and I have had my nose in books. Reading and writing. Yes, I am working on my first novella that will hopefully make its way to completion soon. A novella I hope won’t be abandoned like so many before🤞.

Though the novella is still in its infancy, I think I now have a clear direction of where I want it to head. Having that clear plan suddenly freed parts of my brain for other things. To think I believed I was a multitasker (I shouldn’t lay claim to that label again. Not after this😀).

I thought writing poetry could be tasking albeit fun, but a novella is in a class of its own. I give kudos to all authors out there. Producing a completed piece of work has numerous challenges. It takes determination and persistence to see it through. Sprinkled with lots of love and support from family, friends and yourself too.

I will stop here so I don’t bore you with my monologue.

I just wanted to let you know that I missed you and I hope to come here more often than I have in the last few months.

I hope you enjoy your week or what is left of it.

Before I leave, here’s a little haiku just for you.

High in oval flocks
Sun and rain share smiles and tears
A winged heart is born
