“I love you,” Labake said, smiling sweetly at Ajoke.
“Uh uh… you always say that. Why don’t you show me instead,” Ajoke said offhandedly as she opened a bowl of cherries.
“Here,” Labake offered a jar of orange jam to Ajoke, “I give you the yummiest jam on earth.”
Ajoke rolled her eyes and smiled, “errmmm, who says so? Have you tasted all the jams in the world?”
Labake shook her head in mock exasperation, “have I ever shared my food with you?” She asked.
“No.”
“Do I love my food?”
“Yes.”
“Is orange jam my favourite?”
“Yes.”
“See?”

This was written for the Carrot ranch August 15, 2019, prompt: In 99 words (no more, no less) write a story that includes a sweet jam. It can take you to the kitchen or the smokey room of a back-alley bar. What makes it sweet? Go where the prompt leads you!
Haha! Sweet! 😀

That is a sweet moment shared between friends! I like how you expressed the playful and loving relationship in casual but realistic dialog. Thanks for joining in even if late!
