Watching the story of Ayinla Omowura in an eponymous film on Netflix. His surname Omowura aptly means child of gold/good character. He was a prominent Yoruba musician who sang Apala, a music genre that uses a rattle, thumb piano, bell and talking drums. Ayinla used his music to teach valuable life’s lessons to all that listened. He gave lessons on everyone’s role in society and what we should all be focusing on. He passed away over 3 decades ago, but the messages he preached lives on. His magic lives on and is still touching many lives positively.
We all have magic within us and the world needs it. Wake up. Don’t be afraid of the power in you. Let out your magic.
